About

OUR HISTORY
Red Dam Baptist Church was established in 1895, and constituted in 1896 with 22 members. Red Dam acquired its name from trenches dug to plant rice. The dam, which contained red clay was also used during the Civil War to provide protection against Union soldiers. This dam still exists behind the church, according to some of the older members. Some of the clay was used to make bricks in a brick-making operation located where the old KOA Campground was located near I-95 and Hwy. 17, near the church.

OUR VISION
To be a Christ-centered Church, dedicated to developing fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ for the sake of Family, Community and Global Transformation.
